Lazy weekend

I'm just laying around watching Drawn Together. Been such a lazy weekend... Well, tomorrow I'm going to be putting in my 2 weeks notice... I've found another job! I'm soooo excited about it! I can finally reach my dream!

May take a while to get up to the top as I had hoped... I'm glad Marcus supports me in everything I do. I know I'll miss pharmacy. I learned so much from that place. I worked with lotsa different personalities, learned different skills and made new friends. Hope I can adjust.

I thought about it all weekend. I don't hafta take this new job... I could stay with pharmacy.. But would I ever go up? Would I ever go anywhere? I just don't see me going anywhere if I stay there. Bored outta my mind, at my desk all day long... Yeah! It's time to move on and I think this is my chance! We'll see how it goes!

From Anime to Live action film: Death Note

Wow! This is pretty cool! My husband and I absolutely love this anime! We watch it on cartoon network late at night. It has strange demons and monsters all around it. It's a very intense show, and now there is a live action film! Sweet!

Unknown

The show revolves around Light Yagami who is the carrier of the Death Note and the Detective known as "L". They both believe they are doing good and have difficulty finding which of them is evil. It's really a great show and has some good comedy! I'm thrilled they're making a live action film about it! Click the link below to find out more:

DeathNote

The movie opens in theaters May 20th & 21st. The closest one to my location will probably Austin, TX. I like the theaters there better anyway. Judging from the website, it has no rating. However, they caution that it is equivalent to a rating of "R". So keep the kiddos at home and enjoy the show! I know I will! Thanks!

Video Games Rule!!

I absolutely LOVE video games! When I was a kid, I wanted to be the CEO for Nintendo of America. What a dream huh? I didn't realize that to get to that point, you have to have several degrees and business knowledge. Ignorance is bliss is it not? Well, I still dream of that, not necessarily being the CEO for NOA, but I still want to be in the business market of video games!

What I currently do now is buy and resale video games on ebay and locally. It doesn't make tons of money tho, but its a nice little fat change! I still want to create video games, like design them and make storylines. I was thinking about doing that in my spare time. Among the other billion hobbies I do in 'my spare time'. Sheesh!

So anyway, I'm trying to find information on the net about how to build or create a video game. I have some old college text books on programming, but nothing on how to make, create, or even start a video game. I was wondering if there was some kind of Java programming that could possibly help me out with this. I've seen lots of Macromedia video games floating around; not very extensive but not too bad either.

Well, if anyone has any good recommendations I'd be more than happy to hear them! In any case, I'm on the hunt! Thanks for listening!

Have your blog work for you. Join SocialSpark Today!

If blogging is a favorite past time or recent hobby of yours, why not use it to create a little cash on the side? Try SocialSpark! Have you come to a writers block in your blog? Find something to write about on SocialSpark!

SocialSpark is the latest creation of Izea (Also creators of Payperpost). SocialSpark allows you to come together with other bloggers to create buzz about your blog. You can also take opportunities that advertisers pay you to write about them on your blog! The opportunities are endless, and are not limited to just advertisers. Other bloggers and create whats called a 'Spark' opportunity and you blog about them, and they will return the favor by blogging about you on their blog! It creates more traffic and exposure to your blog, very handy! Here is an example of the opportunities that SocialSpark has to offer:

The format of the "Opps" (opportunities) is easy to decipher. The title and the price are listed on the same line. Next to the price is the "post" button lets you know that an advertiser wants you to post about this particular opp on your blog. Below that are the "Open and Qualification" notices. If they are both green, you can take that opp. The tabs at the top have the different types of opps you can take or you can view them all by clicking on the first tab "All Opportunities".

The radio buttons and boxes to the far right indicate that you can sort through all the opps by qualification and open. That way you don't have to look through tons of opps you may not be qualified for, or that are no longer open. To find out more about an opp that interests you, click on the title of the opp and a more detailed overview will show on your screen regarding that opp.

It is a little overwhelming I know. I was confused for the first couple of days that I had signed up! After you use it for a while, you can certainly get the hang of it. Also, if you're still having trouble, you can also visit the FAQ's for this site:

I visited this place lots of times, FAQ's help in more ways than one! Izea provides these FAQ's to assist not only the bloggers, but the advertisers as well. You can see the purple links that I've already visited on a frequent basis. I wanted to make sure that I was following the SocialSpark guidelines. Always good to follow the rules!

Speaking of which, SocialSpark also has what is called, the Code of Ethics. It basically enforces the rules of blogging. Y'know, being honest with your opinion, making sure you know that once you participate with opps; your blog becomes public to that area. Hey, as I stated before its good for exposure! There are a couple of other items that you need to be aware of in the Code of Ethics. See the list below:

100% Audit-able In-Post Disclosure
Your readers trust you. SocialSpark is committed to keeping it that way. That's why we insist on a strict policy of full in-post disclosure for all sponsored posts. By receiving payment for blogging about a certain topic, even if you would have written about that topic anyway, you run the risk of giving the impression of a conflict of interest. By showing your audience, in a very visible and proactive manner, that you are being paid for that content, you will maintain the trust of your readers and avoid any appearance of impropriety.
Each sponsored post opportunity within the SocialSpark marketplace provides the blogger a small snippet of code for a Disclosure Badge. The Disclosure Badge must be placed at the end of each post without exception. This badge protects both you and the advertiser, providing an audit-able disclosure trail that exceeds compliance standards based on FTC and WOMMA guidelines.
100% Transparency
Every participant in SocialSpark is made viewable to the public. The public can also see which bloggers are working with which advertisers on which opportunities. This is designed to keep the community honest and open about the transactions that occur. If you don't want someone to know you are doing business with a particular advertiser or blogger, chances are you should reconsider.
100% Real Opinions
Subject to the specific agreement you form with an advertiser, you are free to write or say whatever you want. SocialSpark itself has no restrictions on how you express your genuine thoughts on an advertiser's product or service. It's up to you to pick the Opportunities that best suit you and your blog. If it doesn't feel right, if you don't own the product, or if you can't be honest we ask you to pass on the Opportunity. Dishonest or completely off-topic posts can ultimately hurt your blog's credibility. We strongly encourage you to only take opportunities that relate to you and to alert us if an advertiser ever suggests that you be dishonest.
100% Search Engine Friendly
Each sponsored link in SocialSpark automatically carries the "no-follow" attribute so as not to affect search engine rankings. This is designed to protect bloggers and advertisers from search engine penalties based on paid linking. Bloggers and Advertisers participating in the marketplace agree not to circumvent this practice and manually remove the "no-follow" attribute.
Truth-in-advertising is extremely important to us. It is your responsibility to follow our Code of Ethics. SocialSpark reserves the right to remove you from our system or cancel bounties if you violate this policy. If you have questions about our policy or suggestions on how to improve it or better enforce it, please contact customer support.

Rambling Thoughts

Do you ever do this? You're laying down in bed trying to relax and then- your mind starts to wander...

You start thinking about the days events, tomorrows agenda, stuff that needs to be done, blah, blah, blah! I wish that I could just click off my thought process for just 8 hours to get a decent sleep!

It sucks cause sometimes I'll replay a scene in my head over and over with different outcomes each time. Or I'll think about how I answered someone and wonder if I was too nice or too rude! Talk about a worry-wart!

This is the reason I started blogging- I have to find some outlet for my continuous thoughts! I figure if I write about them, they'll leave my mind. Then I could possibly get a decent sleep at night. It's worked so far!

Blogging helps along with meditation and yoga. I find I'm a bit more relaxed than I used to be. Granted, I still would like to reduce my stress level, although I see no end in sight for that yet. Maybe when my small business takes off, things may be a lot better... I hope anyway.

I'm glad pizza hut has come up with other stuff than just pizza. Has anyone had their pasta yet?? It rules! It can feed 4 people and comes with a 2lit drink and breadsticks! Not bad at all for 23.99! I had bought some earlier and a dessert for my hunny when he gets home. Good food!

Whew.. Was that all in my head tonight? Oh wait- Merlocs! I swear that game, WoW, is on my mind more often than it used to be! Oooh.... I think sleep is fixin to kick in... Yep, gettin sleepy.. Night ya'll!

Pictures are worth 1,000 words

I thought I'd do one more post before I call it a night. I saw an opportunity to show one of my favorite pictures. It was taken 2 years ago, before my husband and I got married. I really like this picture, it was the only picture out of 50 that we really liked and we got an 8 x 10 and several small copies to give to family and friends. It truly says how much we love each other, if I had not met my husband I probably wouldn't be as happy as I am today.

Doesn't he have a wonderful smile? He's sooooo handsome! I love him so much. Yes, sometimes he can be a butt-head and be a little baby, but he's my baby. I love you Marcus.

This next picture, is not a favorite really. But its probably the best head shot I've taken in many years. I really don't like the way my face looks, because it looks like I'm older than I really am. I don't know that for certain, but I'm very critical of myself. Anyway, here is the real Nita:

Well, thats me. I think I just look tired, oh well. Now this last item I have for you all is a link to a photograph site of wonderful pictures! One of those pictures is so fantastic, it could be the next hallmark card! Please take the time to visit this site, everyone likes to look at pictures! Thanks!

P.S. Good night for real now! :P~~

Creepy Crawlies!

My husband and I get along very well; we share a lot of the same things. We both like football, we love to watch comedy movies and shows, we like to take long drives and talk about stuff. The one thing we have a problem with is this: I LOVE spiders! And he has arachnophobia! I found this out our second year dating. Oh my gosh, when I discovered that, I was thinking to myself: "How will this guy be around me when we get married?". Well needless to say, and really this is wrong, ITS FUNNY! lol!

I have always liked spiders. The way they crawl around, their sleek bodies and slow paced walk. One leg after another, its so intriguing to watch them walk! What's even better is how they feed! Being fascinated by this creatures, I would catch crickets and put them in their webs. I was shocked the first time I saw this spider stun this cricket then wrap it up in just under a minute! Talk about fast food! It was the greatest thing I ever saw...

Now, as I said before, my husband has arachnophobia. Just the sight of a spider makes him sick! I remember the day I found out about it. It was my birthday and we went for a drive to the lake. We walked around and talked, bought some ice cream and just enjoyed the sunset. Well, Texas lakes are usually surrounded by tall grass and brush. So, we're walking in the dark back to the truck. We got in the truck and started to drive off.

We were only a mile down the road when my husband yelled and steered the car quickly onto the curb almost running into a sign! "Whats wrong?!" I said. When I looked at him he was screaming and tearing his shirt off saying: "Get it off! GET IT OFF!!" So I pulled off his shirt and he jumped out of the car and was like, brushing his skin off- it kinda looked like he was dancing, hehe!

I was confused and looked down at his shirt and there on the shoulder was a tiny spider. I mean tiny. I looked at him and started laughing as he sat back in the truck with no shirt on. "Kill it!" He said as he saw it crawling around on his shirt and he started pressing up against the door. I've never seen a man move so fast in his life! Well anyway, I stepped out of the car and flicked the little guy back into the grass then handed back his shirt to him. "I'm not wearing that till I wash it!" He said and we drove back home. My husband shirt-less and me laughing my ass off at the whole situation!

I can't really say 'we' look back on that time and laugh- cause he doesn't think its funny. I asked him where he got his phobia, but he says he doesn't know. Oh well, we get along very well- except for that :). In any case, this post was to introduce my newest little buddy! Everyone! Meet Trinket! My newest add-on to my blog. She kicks ass! She'll follow your mouse cursor on the screen, so don't be shy! I don't care what anyone says, spiders rule! Night folks!

Scary Movie- The Real Deal

Like many people I know, my favorite kinds of movies are; foreign films and horror flicks! I've just finished watching the trailer for the upcoming film; Frontier(s). The trailer suggests a group of young adults whom have committed a theft and are now running from police. In their attempts to remain elusive, they decide to hide out in a hotel outside of the city. The movie opens up as a normal crime and punishment flick, however once they stay at the hotel, things become increasingly fearful.

There are images of a large man. He is probably the hotel keeper, though he looks more like a butcher. There are scenes of torture and many suspenseful events. The movie is also noted as "Unrated". From just watching the trailer; it seems that this show will not be viewable for younger children or people of weak stomachs. It is not a complete gore film; however if blood is not your forte' I recommend you watch this film through your fingers.

Unknown

For horror fans, this one is for you! A creepy setting in an old hotel- brings back memories of past horror flicks for myself *sigh*- an odd hotel keeper, strange noises, disappearances and screams in the night! Can you feel the excitement?! The fear of being chased by something terrifying?! Knowing you may die?! View the trailer here now:

Horror Movie

The show is expected to be in theaters May 9th. Being closest to Austin, TX. I'll more than likely go to the Galaxy theater there to view the show. Well, not just me of course, I'll have a group of my friends to go with me. I like horror flicks, but I wouldn't want to watch this show alone!

Now there are those, such as my husband, who are into extensive blood and gore movies. I like to see a little blood and gore, but movies such as SAW, I can't do. The link below provides enough satisfaction to quench your thirst for such films. If you liked Frontier(s), I've no doubt you'll enjoy the other movies they have to offer.

Frontier(s)

Don't get too scared now... MWAHAHAHA!

Thanks!

Sleeepy

Whew! A little tired than normal tonight. I think its usually like this- I need to work out more. I confirmed today that I am infact not pregnant. Its kinda sad, but I guess that's the way things will be for now...

I'm laying in bed right now trying to relax, I was really worked up at work today. John is right, I let people take advantage of me. I don't want people to, but how can I be tactful about it? He doesn't understand, the minute you lay your boundaries, the harder they make your job! That's the way those people are! I really want to quit so bad.

I need to pray. I find that I am praying less and less- I need some spiritual guidance and comfort. I think that is what I will do tonight... Night.

My Pets are my babies!

Pet's can be a wonderful part of your life. Or, they can be destructive as all hell! My husband and I currently own 2 cats. 1 is a calico tabby and the other is a Bengal. The Calico's name is Nani, Nauissca Raye Brown is her registered name. Now, this is sad, we've registered the Bengal, however, we've misplaced her papers and couldn't remember her name! I think it was Twilight Tenchi Brown, but I'm not sure. So, we call her Booger. lol! I know that's wrong! But that's what we call her now. When we take her to the vet, everyone laughs cause of her name. We'll find those papers someday...

So, they are wonderful pets! Our Calico is well behaved, happy and healthy. Booger on the other hand, she's a pain in the butt! She is so destructive when she doesn't get what she wants! And she howl and scratch at my bedroom door for attention. Nani was NEVER like that, not even as a kitten! She was always so sweet and quiet- I don't know where we went wrong with Booger. I think its because she's the baby, my husband gives her special treatment.

Besides being destructive, its also very therapeutic to pet and hold them. I find when I am down or sad I can just cuddle my Nani and she makes me feel so much better! Or if I'm feeling mischievous, I play pranks on Booger and she is so much fun to play with! So much energy for a little cat!

Well, that's just a brief overview of our pets. I could go into further detail about what they do, but I plan on posting video of them on here so you can see for yourself.

Check out this cool site as well when you're done reading my post:
